Our guarantee is designed to create clear expectations, transparent pricing, and accountability for qualifying diagnostic work. Not every vehicle or problem qualifies, and the exact guarantee is defined before covered work begins.
A diagnostic guarantee applies only when Precision Auto Diagnosis expressly offers it for the specific vehicle, complaint, and agreed diagnostic scope before work begins. Submission of a request, scheduling an appointment, or payment by itself does not automatically create a guarantee.
Before covered work begins, we will explain the diagnostic scope, expected charge, what result or deliverable is covered, and any known limitations. Coverage may differ depending on the vehicle, system, symptom, accessibility, available tools, and whether the fault can be reproduced.
We may decline guarantee coverage where a problem is intermittent or cannot be reproduced, where testing requires substantial disassembly, dealer-only programming, manufacturer security access, specialized shop equipment, road conditions that cannot be safely reproduced, inaccessible components, internal mechanical teardown, or other limitations outside the agreed mobile diagnostic scope.
Automotive diagnosis can reveal new information as testing progresses. If additional testing, disassembly, programming, parts, travel, or other paid work becomes necessary, we will explain the updated scope and cost before proceeding. No additional paid work is performed without customer approval.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for the currently approved diagnostic scope is due before additional diagnostic work begins. This is especially applicable to first-time customers and helps maintain clear expectations, a professional working relationship, and a fair process for both the customer and Precision Auto Diagnosis.
If testing reveals that additional diagnostics, disassembly, programming, travel, specialized equipment, or an expanded scope is required, we will explain the additional work and price before proceeding. The customer must approve the revised scope, and any required payment must be received before that additional diagnostic work is performed.
If new findings materially change what can reasonably be guaranteed, the updated guarantee or limitation will be explained before additional covered work proceeds. Any revised paid scope must be agreed to by the customer before further charges are incurred.
A diagnostic guarantee does not automatically guarantee a repair, replacement part, programming service, or future vehicle reliability unless those items are expressly included in the written or agreed scope.
Our goal is to eliminate surprise spending and unclear expectations. We will be direct about what we can test, what we cannot confirm, what additional work may be required, what payment is required before continuing, and what the customer is approving at each stage.
These terms summarize Precision Auto Diagnosis's intended diagnostic-guarantee policy. Specific job terms agreed before diagnosis control for that job.
